The Los Angeles Times is reporting that a man and a woman shot and killed near USC early Wednesday morning were students attending the university from China.
The shooting occurred at about 1 a.m. in the 2700 block of Raymond Avenue near 27th Street in what police are saying was a possible attempted robbery. According to the Times, officials said both victims – described as Asians in their early '20s – were shot at least one time in their car, a BMW.
Both were taken to California hospital where they were pronounced dead.
Police are withholding their names until their families are notified, and as of press time investigators had not released a suspect description.
